New Product Announcement
Fluidic Systems’ new XV2 4-Way Cross-over Valve requires less maintenance and offers longer life

Santa Ana, CA, June 30, 2004 – Fluidic Systems is pleased to announce the release of its new XV2 4-Way Cross-over valve. The XV2 provides a significant improvement over the valve previously being built into the Fluidic PK2 and PK3 dispensing systems.

According to Bruce Menk, “The old valve was the best solution available . However, high fluid pressures and abrasive compounds subjected the rotary, 4-way switching valve to extreme wear.” In addition, “high usage customers had to frequently adjust the packing bolt to avoid valve malfunction.”

Fluidic Systems has engineered a simple, cost effective design that tremendously extends the valve life. “After accelerated life-cycle tests equivalent to one-year of normal use,” says Steve Smith, “we saw no apparent wear of any component in the valve.” For aggressive compounds, Fluidic Systems has built extra travel into the XV2, so that the valve is self-adjusting.

Fluidic Systems manufactures plural component mixing systems based on their patented Linear Displacement Pumps (LDP). This unique pumping system uses computerized motion control to maintain precise ratios, flow rate, and line pressure.
